CM announces compensation for students killed in wall collapse
Patna, Jun 21 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced compensation of Rs one lakh to the next of kin of those killed wall collapse and Rs 50,000 to the injured in the incident at Gaushnagar in Nalanda district.
Four students, including two girls, were killed and eight others injured, some of them seriously, when a portion of a wall suddenly gave way at Ghausnagar village under Sarmera police station here this morning.
Expressing shock over the incident, Mr Kumar ordered to provide full medical treatment, to be borne by the state government, to those injured in the incident.
He directed the District Magistrate to immediately provide the compensation to the victims families.
Meanwhile, the seriously injured four children were rushed to the PMCH while six children were admitted at Biharsharif Sadar hospital following the CM'S directions.
