BJP blames Sonia's speechwriter for not doing homework

New Delhi, Jun 21 (UNI) Refuting the claim of Congress President Sonia Gandhi that the states were responsible for inflation, the BJP today blamed her speechwriter for ''not doing his home work'' properly.

Commenting on Ms Gandhi holding the non-Congress states responsible for price rise and inflation, BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad said her speechwriter either has not done his home work or was a non-political person. Does Ms Gandhi believe that the Congress, which ruled at the Centre and the states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana states did not contribute to the price rise and inflation.

He said while Ms Gandhi was alleging that the BJP-ruled states were misusing the Central Assistance, the Government had repeatedly said that the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh had utilised the Central funds effectively for various development oriented programmes.
