Arrest Congressmen who attacked Vidyarthi Bharti activist:Badekar
Mumbai, Jun 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Vidyarthi Bharti president Jyoti Badekar today demanded the arrest of Congressmen, who allegedly attacked its activist for waving black flags at the Congress convention, presided over by party president Sonia Gandhi, on June 19.
Sakharam Khurpe, an activist of Vidyarthi Bharti, the group which has been demanding the recruitment of DEd degree holders in the various institutes in the state, had waved a black flag before Ms Gandhi was about to address the party workers.
There were many other activists present in the convention with black flags but they did not do so. When they saw Khurpe doing it, he was beaten up by the Congress activists.
