AP govt creates new department

Hyderabad, Jun 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today ordered creation of a new department called ''Department of Food Processing, Agricultural and Marketing and Cooperation'' by separating the Marketing and Cooperation wings from Agriculture Cooperation Departments and the Food Processing subject from Industries and Commerce Department.

The subjects allocated to the new Department were processing of applications for financial assistance from Ministry of food Processing Industries and related issues, food processing Policies of state establishment of food parks, MoUs entered for establishment of exclusive food Parks and agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, an official release said.
