1,000 coir outlets in Kerala soon

Kannur,June 21 (UNI) As many as 1,000 outlets will be opened to sell coir products in all panchayats and municipalities in Kerala soon, Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran said today.

Inaugurating a state-level project for the promotion of coir products, the Minister said the outlets would be opened under the joint auspicious of the Coir Board, Municipalities, Panchayats and Cooperative sector.

He said modern designs would be utilised for the promotion of coir products. The Coir Board was exporting products worth Rs 600 crore a year.
