Youth's hand blown up in mysterious explosion in Reasi

Jammu, Jun 20 (UNI) A youth got critically injured and his hand was blown up in an explosion while he was accompanying a 'Barat' (marriage ceremony) last night in tehsil Arnas of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir, police here today said.

''As no 'barati' was carrying fire-crackers but sudden explosion drew others attention as some explosive material exploded in the hand of one Mohd Asgar, 19, resident of Chhajra,'' police told UNI asserting, ''his hand was nearly blown up with the impact of blast and he started bleeding profusely.'' However, the youth was immediately shifted to Arnas hospital from where he was referred to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu.

Meanwhile police has registered a case in this connection and started investigating mysterious explosion.
