UP govt ''forcibly'' taking farmers land: CPI(M)
Lucknow, Jun 20 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today charged the Uttar Pradesh government with not compensating the farmers properly and taking away their land for the Yamuna Expressway and demanded Governor T V Rajeswar's intervention into the matter.
After handing over a memorandum to Mr Rajeshwar, CPI(M) leader Subhashini Ali Sehgal alleged the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government was ''forcibly'' taking the agricultural land of farmers and paying them only a small amount.
She further claimed in Aligarh's Kair tehsil, the situation has taken an ugly turn and soon farmers and police would be seen clashing with each other over the same.
