Road accident kills Cong worker

Ujjain, MP, Jun 20 (UNI) A Congress worker was killed and 48 workers were injured, when their bus fell in a ditch near this district's Madwa village, police said today.

They were en route to take part in party President Sonia Gandhi's Kisan Sammenlan, scheduled to be held here.

Alot constituency Congress workers were in private bus when the mishap took place this morning. Sunil Bairagi was killed on spot while 13 injured were admitted to the hospital in Jawra, the police said.

''The rest injured were discharged after providing medical aid,'' said Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Prem Chand Guddu.
