Talking to newspersons after meeting the Gujjar delegations at his residence, who thanked him for the Rajasthan Government's decision to provide five per cent reservation, BJP President Rajnath Singh conceded that the decision got delayed as the state government had to take a considered decision consulting all the sections.
''The BJP, unlike the Congress, did not believe in vote bank politics but believes in the principle of overall development of the entire society without any discrimination or illwill against any community, region or religion'', Mr Singh added.
Several leaders, including BJP General Secretary Vijay Goel and Delhi legislator Ramesh Bidhuri and top Delhi BJP leaders were present at Mr Rajnath Singh's residence.
