Record rain in MP town
Shivpuri, MP, Jun 20 (UNI) Breaking the record of eight years, incessant rains in last three days drenched the drought-hit district forcing the authorities to release 6000 cusic water from Mohini Sagar dam.
Additional District Magistrate Madhukar Agneya said that the gates of dam were being opened to release the excess water.
''The water receded from three villages of Kolaras sub division and loss due to water-logging was being estimated,'' said Mr Agneya.
Official sources said that 195 mm rain was recorded in June 2000 as compared to 235 mm rain recorded so far this year.
