President to pay 2-day visit to state

Jaipur, Jun 20: President Pratibha Patil will pay a two-day visit to Jodhpur, Jaipur and Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan from tomorrow, an Official Spokesman said here.

He said the President would reach Jodhpur from New Delhi around 0930 hrs tomorrow to participate in a number of programmes.

She would inaugurate a school premises in Loradi Deshgara on Jodhpur Jaisalmer Road and attend a programme being organised to commemorate renowned jurist and MP late Dr Laxmi Mall Singhvi's social services.

Ms Patil would reach Jaipur from Jodhpur around 1530 hrs and would inaugurate the Shekhawati Centre here. Rajasthan Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh, Gujarat Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma and Union Mines Minister Shish Ram Ola would also participate in the programme.

On Sunday morning the President would proceed for Jhunjhunu to attend in a programme being organised to felicitate ex-servicemen near Jhunjhunu.

On return from Jhunjhunu, Ms Patil would unveil Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's statute here and meet Jain saint Acharya Mahapragya and would return to Delhi later in the evening.
