PHE daily wagers took to streets, demanding wages in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 20 (UNI) Hundreds of daily wagers of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department today took to streets demanding wages and regularisation of their services.

The daily wagers gathered at Water Works (WW) office near here and later marched through different streets in the civil lines.

Raising slogans against the authorities, they said they were not paid their wages for the past several months.

They said they are not being able to pay the school fees of their children.

The daily wagers alleged that their services were not regularised despite working in the Department for the past ten years.

Despite assurance by the government, nothing has been done, they added.
