Nuke-deal: Karat meets Pranab

New Delhi, June 20 : Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) General Secretary Prakash Karat on Friday called on External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee to discuss nuclear deal issue.

While talking to reporters after the meeting Karat said: "We have reiterated our stand and told the Government not to go ahead with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) talks."

Defence Minister A K Antony also attended the meeting that took place at Pranab Mukherjee's residence.

"There is neither any deterioration nor improvement on nuclear deal issue," said Mukherjee about the meeting.
