No shortage of fertilisers in Haryana: Govt
Chandigarh, Jun 20 (UNI) The Haryana government today clarified that the availability of fertilisers in the state was quite satisfactory and no shortage of any fertiliser had been experienced in any part of the state.
Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said for the current Kharif season, the assesment of requirement of Urea and DAP fertilisers was made at a level of 8.75 lakh MT and two lakh MT respectively.
The availability of Urea in the state had been 4.52 lakh MT against the availability of 3.90 lakh MT in the corresponding period of last Kharif season till date.
He said similarly, the availability of DAP fertiliser was 1.16 lakh MT against the availability of 0.90 lakh MT in the corresponding period of last Kharif season.
The availability and distribution of fertiliser was being monitored on daily basis and the state government was in the constant touch with the Central government for ensuring adequate availability of fertilisers in the state, he added.
