Mechanical Eng student stabbed to death

Rajkot, Jun 20 (UNI) A 24-year-old Mechanical Engineering student was allegedly stabbed to death at Swaminarayan Gurukul here.

According to police, Yaswant Baldania (a resident of Ahmedabad), was found with serious stab injuries on his chest and hands, in his room last evening.

Yaswant was staying at the Gurukul for the past two years and was Mechanical Engineering diploma student at the Government Polytechnic here, police said.

Police have arrested Yaswant's former room-mate Hiren Vora, with whom he had a dispute over sharing the room, for allegedly committing the crime.

The Gurukul authorities rushed him to a private hospital, where the doctors declared him dead, police said.
