Left not to change stand on Indo-US nuke deal: Basu
Kolkata, Jun 20 (UNI) CPI(M) patriarch Jyoti Basu today said the Left parties would not change their stand on the Indo-US nuclear treaty.
''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has made a move for operationalisation of the Indo-US nuclear deal, but we will not budge from our stand,'' Mr Basu told newspersons after the party's state secretariat meeting.
''Nothing has been finalised as far as I know. But I have no idea what compromise the Centre is trying to make. Our stand is quite clear on the issue,'' Mr Basu added.
