K'taka CM to inaugurate KASSIA Udyog Bhavan on Jun 23
Bangalore, Jun 20 (UNI) The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), the apex body serving smallscale industries has built a Rs 10-crore infrastructure project 'KASSIA Udyog Bhavan (KUB) for the benefit of more than two lakh SME's in the state.
Talking to newspersons here today, KASSIA president M C R Shetty said KUB would offer enterprise developmental activities, including state-of-the-art convention and business centre and facilities for quality development and research.
Describing the KUB as an unique concept materialised for the first time in the country, he said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would inaugurate the Bhavan on June 23.
KUB has many infrastructure facility, including Product Display Centre, a small industry library with e-information facility, a centralized networking and video conferencing facility, a modern auditorium for MSME meetings and a Small Business School, which would impart knowledge to both employer and employee, he added.
Mr Shetty said plans were afoot to build such facilities at different parts of the state, including Mangalore, Mysore, Hassan, Davanagere, Shimoga, Gulbarga, Hubli, Bijapur and Belgaum.
