KPCC Chief assails BJP govenrment on Fertiliser issue
Gulbarga, Jun 20 (UNI) KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge today charged that the failure of the state government in making proper arrangements for sufficient supply of fertiliser had led to series of farmers suicide incidents across the state.
Addressing newsmen after handing over Rs one lakh compensation to the family of a farmer who had committed suicide yesterday in Chincholi taluk in the district, he alleged that there was no any co-ordination between Revenue and Agriculture departments which caused confusion among the farming community.
He charging that the state government had totally failed in discharging its responsibilities in proper distribution of fertiliser to farmers the KPCC chief assailed that chief minister B S Yeddyurappa was trying shift the blame to the union government for his government' lapses.
Earlier Mr Kharge had visited the house of Veerashetty, the farmer and consoled the wife of the deceased and handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh as financial assistance to the bereaved family.
