Jamie Lynn Spears gives birth to baby girl

Washington, June 20 : Britney Spears' teenage sister Jamie Lynn has given birth to a baby girl.

The 17-year-old welcomed the baby daughter, Maddie Briann, with fiance Casey Aldridge on June 19 at a hospital in Mississippi.

"Just the family was there. Everyone is healthy and happy," People quoted a source, as saying.

The "Zoey 101" star's big sister Britney, father Jamie and brother Bryan flew to Louisiana on June 18 to help prepare for the birth.

Jamie Lynn Spears was 16 when she announced her pregnancy last December, and sparked a tabloid firestorm in the US about teenage sex.

She announced her engagement to 19-year-old Aldridge, in March.
