Hoax call sends police on explosive hunt

Mumbai, Jun 20 (UNI) An anonymous caller today sent the city police on a hunt for explosives, alleged to have been planted at the Bank of India building in the busy Zaveri Bazaar area.

The city police control received a call at around 1245 hrs that a bomb had been planted at the Bank of India building. Police rushed to the spot and searched for the explosive for more than 90 minutes.

In another incident, the CNG tank of a city transport bus exploded near the EROS cinema theatre here. Police said no one was injured.
