Groundnutseed, its oil flat while Refined palm oil falls

Mumbai, Jun 20 (UNI) Spot prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained flat today on moderate demand by stockists, while refined palm oil fell because of sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oils, groundnut oil, sunflower exp ref, rapeseed ref, rapeseed exp, mowra and neem remained steady on moderate demand.

Refined palm oil and cottonseed refined eased by Rs 4 and Rs 10 per 10 kg respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnutseed remained flat. Javas 60/70 and javas 70/80 soared by Rs 75 per quintal on increase in fresh demand by stockists while seasameseed whitish 98/2 and 95/5 declined by Rs 200 per quintal amid lack of demand by stockists.

In De-oiled cakes (per tonnes), undec cottonseed extra hiked by Rs 100 and closed at Rs 10,400 per tonne on speculative buying, other remained flat on moderate demand, traders added.
