Glenmark gets USFDA approval for Trandolapril

New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said its unit, Glenmark Generics Ltd, has started selling trandolapril tablets in the United States following approval from the US Food and Drug Administration.

Trandolapril is an ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure and is the generic equivalent of Abbott Laboratories' Mavik, a company statement said.

Mavik had sales of 23 million dollars in the 12 months to March 2008 according to IMS data, it added.
