BJP politicising development: Sonia

Ujjain, June 20(UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi today charged the BJP with politicising development and called for unseating BJP in the coming elections in Madhya Pradesh.

Virtually sounding the poll bugle at a farmers convention in this temple town during her one-day visit to the state, Ms Gandhi said whatever development the state had achieved so far had been initiated during Congress rule.

Making a frontal attack on the ruling BJP with politicising development in her 20-minute speech, the Congress President said politics was a medium for development, but politicising it was unjustified.

Recalling the historic role of this town associated with legends like Raja Vikramaditya, Mahakavi Kalidas and Raja Bhatruhari, Ms Gandhi said this temple town had witnessed many changes and many people of yesteryears had contributed a lot in the freedom struggle.
