BJP declines to guess on longevity of UPA Government

New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) The BJP today declined to comment over the bickering between the UPA government and Left parties over the Indo-US nuclear deal and said the country was tired of the guessing game.

A BJP leader privy to the Left parties, which were threatening to rock the four-year-old coalition government on the controversial deal, however, was of the feeling that the refusal of the Government to show the draft prepared for discussion with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) showed how they distrust each other.

''We feel the end of the game is near and the Government may go ahead with the deal but it is difficult to say when,'' he said reacting to the emerging situation where the Left parties were in a mood to reconsider their support to the Manmohan Singh government.

The Government could choose to take a decision around September and face the election in March.

The Government may not force an early election now because the soaring prices and spiralling inflation which broke the 13-year record this week would deter any government from any adventurism, BJP sources said.
