AP govt to fill 900 posts in agri dept

Hyderabad, Jun 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said 500 mandal agriculture officers and 400 agriculture extention officer posts in the state would be filled up.

Addressing the press here, he said notification for the recruitment of posts would be issued in a week and the selection process would be completed within a month.

Claming that there was no shortage of fertilisers, he said the government was supplying fertilizers and seeds to the farmers.

The Centre had allocated five lakh metric tonnes of fertilisers to the state this year, he said adding the fertilisers would be distributed to farmers within a week.
