Another bomb hoax call at Chawri Bazaar Metro station
New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) For the fourth time in the last one month, a bomb hoax call was today recieved at the Chawri Bazar Metro station, leading to stoppage of train services at the station for nearly 30 minutes.
''There was a call received by a PCR van that a bomb had been planted at the underground Chawri Bazar Metro station today.
After the call, entry to the Chawri Bazaar station was blocked and a joint inspection of the station and the track was done by the CISF and the Delhi Police.
However, nothing was found and the call was declared to be a hoax,'' spokesperson of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Anuj Dyal said.
Train services were stopped at Chawri Bazaar for 29 minutes, from 2:42 pm to 3:11 pm, for checking the track, Mr Dyal said.
He said this was the fourth hoax call, warning of a bomb plantation at the Chawri Bazar Metro station premises.
In previous month also, the police recieved similar hoax calls thrice regarding bomb at the Chawri Bazar metro station.
''Such calls cause unnecessary inconvenience to passengers,'' and should de traced soon, Mr Dyal said.
