Karnataka: Agumbe records heavy rainfall 9 cm

Bangalore, Jun 20: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today. Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Agumbe 9. Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Belthangadi 5: Mulki, Bajpe, Bantwal 4 each; Kammardi 3; Puttur, Kota, Shirali ,Gerusoppa, Kadra, Bhagamandala, Thirthahalli Sringeri, Koppa 2 each. Panambur, Mani, Subramanya Karkala, Siddapura, Bhatkal, Talaguppa, Kottigehara, Sakleshpura, Srirangapatna, Sidlaghatta 1 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
