Two feared drowned in Ghaghra

Basti, Jun 19 (UNI) Two girls were feared drowned after they plunged into river Ghaghra at Tilak village in cantonment area here today.

Three girls plunged into river Ghaghra, of which Nisha and Rinki were carried away by strong water currents, police Superintendent Sanjeev Gupta said.

However, one girl Sudha Sharma was saved by the villagers, whereas other two were yet to be traced.

The girls were reportedly in a state of depression after their High School results were declared following which they together took the extreme step.
