Sweeping machines to broom Chhattisgarh's roads
Raipur, June 19 (UNI) Chhattisgarh is poised to purchase 12 sweeping machines in a bid to broom its roads more skillfully, official sources said today.
Ten municipal corporations are set to purchase them and two machines had already been supplied to Bilaspur and Raipur. On the recommendation of the 12th finance commission, Urban Administration department provided funds for the machines each costing Rs 60 lakh.
Municipal Corporations of Durg, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Korba, Raigarh, Ambikapur, Chirmiri and Jagdalpur would purchase one machine each.
