Singapur Airlies plane passengers had a providential escape

Amritsar, Jun 19 (UNI) About 300 passengers of a Singapur Airlines plane had a providential escape when its engine caught fire at the Raja Sansi airport here today.

Police and airport sources said the engine caught minor fire due to sparking when the Singapur-bound plane was ready to take off for its destination.

Fire engines at the airport, however, immediately contained the blaze and all the passengers were safely taken out of the plane. The flight was later cancelled.
