Pregnant minor commits suicide
Mumbai, Jun 19 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in D N Nagar at Andheri, after her boyfriend refused to marry her.
Police said here today that accused Mohammed Shaikh (17) and the victim were into an illicit relationship for last two years. She was four months pregnant. She pressurised the accused for marriage, which he refused.
The girl went home and hanged herself on Tuesday evening.
Police have registered a case of rape against the accused and further investigation is in progress.
