One militant killed, arms and ammunition recovered
Srinagar Jun 19 (UNI) One militant was killed and a soldier injured in the Kashmir Valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said an encounter took place between militants and security forces at Sona Pindi near the Line of Control (LoC) during which the militant was killed.
The sources said the soldier, Nokman Konyak, was injured when militants fired at a patrol party at Shal Batho near the LoC.
Security forces also fired in return but the militants managed to escape.
Later, one AK 47 rifle, one magazine and sixty rounds were recovered near the site of the encounter.
