Now, Alva projects Rahul Gandhi as prime ministerial candidate
Loni, Maharashtra, Jun 19 (UNI) AICC general secretary and in- charge of Maharashtra Margaret Alva today projected Rahul Gandhi as a prime ministerial candidate, saying he should be allowed to complete the unfinished work of his father and former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi.
Addressing at a rally here today, she said Rahul is the right person to carry on the legacy of Rajiv Gandhi.
Earlier, Congress MP Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil said Rahul Gandhi is a prime ministerial material.
Being one of the confidants of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he has openly suggested that Rahul is the automatic choice to lead the country as the next Prime Minister.
On the occasion of Rahul Gandhi's birthday, a cake was cut by Congress MLA Radha Krishna Vikhe-Patil.
