NDTV partners BT for distribution in Dubai, UK

New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) New Delhi Television (NDTV) today said it has entered into an agreement with BT's media and broadcast division which will make BT the global network supplier, enabling them to distribute NDTV's Arabia channel in the Dubai market and NDTV Imagine in the UK market over the Eurobird sky platform.

''Last year, we engaged BT's Global Media Network. It has proven so successful that we have decided to expand to additional sites in Dubai and the UK,'' NDTV Emerging markets CEO Shyatto Raha said in a statement.

This is the second major contract for BT with NDTV in the last 12 months. NDTV previously engaged BT to assist their global expansion plans by distributing 24X7 Television channels into the UK via the BskyB platform and in the US via Direct TV's platform.

BT also takes care of repurposing the formats and other services for the US market.
