Kerala Revenue, Law ministers should resign: BJP

Kottayam, Jun 19 (UNI) The BJP today demanded the resignation of Kerala Revenue and Law ministers for creating a ''wrong precedent'' and crisis in the Administration sector by allowing two secretaries to fight each other.

Briefing newspersons after the State Leadership meeting here, BJP state spokesperson M S Kumar said this was for the first time in the history of the state that two secretaries were blaming each other publicly and filing affidavits in the High Court. This was a serious incident and both the ministers should resign.

The meeting, in a resolution, condemned the State Government for trying to influence the Education sector with communist ideology.

It also criticised the Government for propagating Communist doctrines among the children.

In protest against the Government policies, a dharna would be staged before the Secretariat on June 25 and a march would be taken out to education offices in all districts on June 26. Further, the matter would be brought to the notice of the Governor.

Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu would launch the BJP All-India campaign for Parliament elections from Palakkad on June 21.

As part of the campaign, District Conventions of the BJP would also be held from tomorrow till July 15 in the state. Door-to-door campaign and fund collection would be held from August 28 to September 8, he said.
