Jaipur, Jun 19 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh and nine other BJP leaders are likely to get a clean chit in a case filed against them under the NDPS Act in Balotra, for allegedly serving opium during a socio-religious ceremony at Mr Singh's native village in Barmer district last year.

Ghanshyam Tiwari and Madan Dilawar are among the nine BJP Ministers, who are likely to get a clean chit in the case.

An FIR under the NDPS Act was registered against the leaders at the Balotra Police station on directives of a local court.

Later, the inquiry into the case was entrusted to the CID Crime branch.

According to departmental sources, during the CID probe it was found that neither Mr Singh served opium during the function nor the guest had tasted any contraband.

Now, police are preparing to file a report before the court stating that charges levelled against the accused leaders were not established during the probe, the sources said.
