HC asks police not to take coercive steps against junior docs
Patna, Jun 19 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the police not to take any coercive steps against the junour doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH), allegedly involved in manhandling the photo journalists in Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) few days back till the pendency of their bail petitions, Justice Shiva Kirti Singh gave the directive while hearing bail petitions moved by the six erring junior doctors of the PMCH.
Justice Singh also ordered the Patna police to place case diary before the court.
Six junior doctors who had moved the bail petition are-- Dr Anil Kumar, Dr Anand Kumar, Dr Sanjeet Kumar Agrawal,Dr Arun Kumar Das, Dr Vinod Kumar Paswan and Dr Sukhdev.
A case was earlier lodged at Pirbahor police station alleging that the six junour doctors of PMCH had manhandled the photo journalist few days back when they were taking photographs of the patients undergoing treatment in PMCH.
In a separate case, Justice Shailesh Kumar Sinha issued similar directive to the police in connection with a case pertaining to alleged negligence against three doctors of PMCH during treatment of a patient leading to his death in the hospital. The doctors facing the charge of negligence in treatment are-- Dr Mohammad Azhar Hassan, Dr Mohammad Anaytullah and Dr Sanjay Kumar.
