Era Infra Q4 net up 21% at Rs 36.7 cr
New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) Era Infra Engineering today said its net profit has increased 21 per cent to Rs 36.76 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2008, as against Rs 30.40 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Its total income was up 123 per cent to Rs 622.04 crore during Q4FY08.
The net sales stood at Rs 625 crore during the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 267.60 crore for the same period a year ago.
''The increase in our revenues reflects our strong focus, expertise and experience in core infrastructure projects. Activity in the RMC space is accelerating and we are seeing some strong traction in this space. We expect to invest Rs 400 crore in the RMC business over a period of three years,'' Era Infra Engineering CMD H S Bharana said.
The company said in a statement that the net sales for FY08 stood at Rs 1,464.40 crore as compared to Rs 755 crore a year ago.
The company's net profit jumped by 53 per cent for FY08 at Rs 121 crore as against Rs 79.2 crore during the previous fiscal.
The group is further gearing up to consolidate its position in airport projects, Mr Bharana said, adding that the company intends to enter into gas pipeline and marine piling sector and is in the process of acquiring technological expertise via JV or acquisition route.
