Duranis examined, Rajesh Talwar's remand extended

New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) In one of the country's most intriguing cases that has left the nation's premier investigation agency baffled and clueless even after 19 days of it being handed charge from the Noida Police, the CBI today got Dr Rajesh Talwar's remand extended by two weeks for conducting another polygraph test on him.

''His judicial custody was extended till July 2,'' CBI Jt Director (Special Crime) Arun Kumar told the media.

An application was moved to conduct a second lie detector test on him which was granted, he said, adding that ''this was mandatory as the first lie detector test had remained inconclusive''.

The second test was being done on the advice of experts, the Jt Director said.

The Duranis -- Anita and Praful -- have been examined after being summoned at the CBI headquarters yesterday, informed Mr Kumar while adding a polygraph test was also conducted on Vijay Mandal, servant of Talwars neighbour, yesterday.

Besides, psychological profiling of Rajkumar has also been done at AIIMS, he said.

Mr Kumar refuted reports in the media that 'a fourth person' was also present at the Talwars residence on the day of murder, along with Krishna, Rajkumar and Hemraj.

''All such reports are baseless,'' said Mr Kumar while alluding to reports on a news television channel which said four persons met at the servant quarter of Sector 25 Jalvayu Vihar (in Noida) residence of Dr Rajesh Talwar on the night of May 15.

The channel had claimed in its report that Aarushi was killed by Rajkumar when she resisted his move to force himself on her.

Also, Hemraj was killed by Rajkumar after he threatened to reveal the incident to all. This, said the channel, was disclosed by Krishna during his narco tests.
