Children university needed to empower younger generation:Modi

Ahmedabad, June 19 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today emphasised the need to establish a children's University to empower the younger generation of the country, which could consolidate society.

The Chief Minister, while dedicating the Shri K K Shashtri Educational Complex in Maninagar area of the city, outlined the theme and strategy of making revolutionary strides in human resource development and education sector, to empower the youth. For inculcating the best professional teaching skills, he expressed his resolve to set up Indian Institute of Teacher's Training to produce the best teachers, as there is a great demand of Science and Maths teachers.

Speaking about the modern professional educational trends in the 21st century, Chief Minister said, ''India needs specific skill development courses in the lines China, who have started as many as 60,000 new courses. Unfortunately, the Centre has not paid enough attention in this direction.'' The Chief Minister gave away prizes to the students, who passed SSC and HSC exams with flying colours, on the occasion.
