Terror suspects' judicial remand extended
Hubli, June 18 (UNI) Judicial Magistrate of the city First Class Court I further extended the judicial remand of all the eleven terror suspects arrested in the state early this year, till July Two.
The suspects had been lodged in Hindalaga prison in Belgaum and the sub-jail here, were produced before the court today.
The CoD which had taken the custody of four suspects lodged in Indore Jail, produced them in the court today. They were Mohammad Yasin, Mohammad Ansari, Manroj Jama and P A Shadoli. They brought from Indore jail, where the Madhya Pradesh Police had taken them for questioning in cases related to MP.
The Mohammad Asif, Asudulha Abubakkar, Riyazuddin, Shakeel Mali, Yayha, Allabaksh Yadawad and Sameer Siddiqui were produced before the court amid tight security. The arrested includes suspected operatives of Lashkar-e-Toiba and SIMI.
Advocate for the arrested, A A Savanur, submitted before the court that the case be transferred to Sessions court under section 209 CRPC. The judge posted the case for hearing on June 25.
The judge also posted for hearing the bail applications of Mohammad Asif, Asadulha Abubakkar, Yayha and Riyazuddin to June 21.
The arrested have been initially charged for hatching plans to trigger blasts in Karnataka and Goa.
A chance arrest of Asadulha and Riyazuddin in Honnali in Davangere district when they were found riding a stolen motor bike belonging to Goa had led to the other arrests.
