Lorry driver attacks cop

Hyderabad, Jun 18 (UNI) A Sub-Inspector (Traffic) suffered head injury when a lorry driver attacked him, under Uppal police station limits here today.

Police said the lorry driver Venkanna attacked Mr Ghouse with an iron rod when the police official asked him to shift the lorry parked on the busy Uppal road. The cop was immediately shifted to a corporate hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

After the attack, local people caught the driver who tried to escape from the spot and handed him over to the police.
