Exide Industries buys 51% stake in lead smelter company

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) Country's leading battery maker Exide Industries Ltd today said it has acquired 51 per cent in a lead smelter company, Leadage Alloys India Ltd, located near Bangalore, for Rs 35 crores.

Leadage Alloys India Ltd is an unlisted public company, the company said in a statement.

The Company's core business is to produce various types of Lead and Lead alloys for secondary Lead and Lead concentrates.
