Blood donation camp held in UT Secretariat

Chandigarh, Jun 18 (UNI) As many as 76 volunteers donated blood at a blood donation camp held in the Union Territory Secretariat here today.

Chandigarh Administrator's Adviser Pradip Mehra inaugurated the camp which was organized by the UT Administration in association with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Senior officers and employees donated blood in the camp. A number of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) employees also donated the blood.

On the occasion, Mr Mehra interacted with the donors and encouraged them to donate blood regularly.

Home-cum-Finance Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Inspector General of Police S K Jain, Special Secretary, Finance, Mrs. Raji P Shrivastava and other senior officers of the administration were present on the occasion.
