4 constables suspended in diamond loot case
Panna, MP, Jun 18 (UNI) A constable has been suspended in connection with the two Mumbai-based diamond traders' loot case here, police said today.
Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said some constables stopped a bus, en route from here to Mumbai, and forced the traders to alight on June 7. The accused looted five diamonds worth Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 5,000.
Manoj Sharma was among the accused constables and was suspended yesterday. Coincidentally, he was also the gunman of Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Pradeep Shinde, who was probing the case.
Three constables Raghvendra Singh, Mahesh Tiwari and Yogendra Pande had been already suspended, he added.
