Works on Metro and Mano rail to begin by December

Mysore, Jun 17 (UNI) Lok Sabha Member of Mysore C H Vijayashankar today disclosed that the works on the ambitious Metro and Mono Rail in Mysore city will begin by December.

Speaking to news persons here, he said that the outlines would be finalised by Railways and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) authorities after examining with the local administration about increase in population and vehicle density for the past two years.

He said that a final decision would be taken on establishing four KSRTC depots, each with a minimum of eight bus stands around them in four different directions of the city. The long pending completion of the ring road in the city would be completed soon, he added.
