Two Commercial Tax Dept officials arrested for accepting bribe
Bangalore, Jun 17(UNI) Two Commercial Tax Department officials of Chintamani were arrested by Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths while accepting bribe for showing official favour.
According to a press release from Lokayukta here today, CTO Officer Dorai demanded Rs one lakh from M/s Indian Madras Motor Proprietor S Raghvendra assuring not to book case against him for not issuing bill for the oil purchase.
However, after a stiff bargaining, Dorai agreed to accept Rs 25,000.
But Raghavendra, not willing to pay the money, approached Lokayukta who laid a trap and caught red hand Dorai and CTO Inspector Rajanna while accepting the bribe money.
