Tech Mahindra enters into strategic IPTV global deal with Microsoft

New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) Tech Mahindra a leading provider of solutions and services to the telecommunications industry today said it has inked an agreement with Microsoft Corp for deployments of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and multimedia software platform.

Through the alliance, Tech Mahindra will provide deployment and integration services for new and existing Microsoft Mediaroom broadband service provider customers to deploy IPTV services, the company said in a statement.

''Tech Mahindra is engaged with a number of incumbent and emerging service providers in the IPTV domain and Triple Play around the world. We are very excited about this alliance with Microsoft as the relationship presents a tremendous opportunity for both organizations to strengthen our leadership positions in IPTV,'' said President Tech Mahindra, CP Gurnani.

The alliance will give service providers another way to accelerate and differentiate their TV offerings, it added.

Microsoft Mediaroom, which enables broadband service providers to deliver new connected TV and entertainment experiences to consumers, is already being deployed by over 20 service providers worldwide.
