TDP demands Rosaiah's resignation
Hyderabad, June 17 (UNI) The main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today demanded the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah owning moral responsibility for 'pursuing revenue-driven liquor policy at the cost of public health.' TDP Legislature Party Deputy Leader N Janardhan Reddy told reporters here the ruling Congress had promised to introduce prohibition in phases on the eve of last Assembly elections.
Instead, the government ensured the revenue from liquor sale grew from Rs 3,000 crore in 2003-04 to Rs 20,000 crore now, he claimed.
