Tata Communications net dips by 63.09% at Rs 58.86 cr

New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) Tata Communications Ltd today said its net profit dipped 63.09 per cent to Rs 58.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 159.50 crore in the same period previous year.

The total income also decreased 21.1 per cent to Rs 885.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 1122.93 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The Company's net profit declined 40.9 per cent to Rs 304.46 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 515.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The total income also dipped 12.3 per cent to Rs 3449.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 3935.51 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The Group's net profit slipped 33.1 per cent to Rs 10.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 15.40 crore for the same period last year.

The total income decreased marginally by 3.6 per cent to Rs 8526.53 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 8849.46 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
